A Great Weekend at The Fall Rodeo
The DAC had a great booth at the Fall Rodeo. Lots of exposure to the public, and good sales. However the best part of our day was when two of our artists gave pictures away to children... just because they wanted to.
Priscilla brought a painting of a unicorn and said "the first little girl that says 'I like this', I'm gunna give it to her." It wasn't long before a pretty little girl came up and said "mom look, I love this." That's all it took, and it was hers.
Last year Donna Grossman took a picture of a young boy at the rodeo, and painted a portrait from it. This year she succeeded in finding Gabriel Pereira and his family to give them the painting as a gift. Pictured; Mrs. Pereira, artist Donna Grossman, Mr. Pereira. This is what made the day special. We'll be back in the spring.
